Michelle M. Lents joined Fairgrieve Law in 2026 as Senior Counsel. She is an accomplished attorney with nearly three decades of experience in employment law. She began her career representing employees in Orange County, California, handling administrative, state, and federal matters. In 2009, she founded her own firm, advising small to mid-sized companies throughout California on employment compliance and workplace risk management, including developing policies, handbooks, and job descriptions; delivering management and anti-discrimination training; supporting investigations of employee complaints; and counseling on onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Michelle has prepared for, reviewed, and participated in administrative hearings before the EDD, the Labor Commissioner, the California Civil Rights Department, and the EEOC. She consistently pursues practical, risk-averse solutions to help clients address employment issues effectively.
In 2001, Michelle was honored as “Attorney of the Year” by the Orange County Women Lawyers Association. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from San Diego State University. Outside of her practice, she enjoys traveling, supporting senior-dog rescue efforts, and expanding her knowledge of wine varietals.
